DIY: Kate Spade Inspired Polka Dot Canvas

You can all thank my little sister Jillian for this DIY project. This is a fun, easy and mess-free way to add a little sparkling touch to your home, especially for the holidays!

Prep Time: Approximately 30-45 minutes.

What you will need:
  • Plain white canvas, size of your choice depending on how small or large you would like your canvas to be.
  • Elmer's Craft Bond Spray Adhesive, this stuff is amazing.
  • At least 3 different textured paper sheets in the color(s) of your choice. I used three different textures of gold, I think it would be fun to add in silver or red for this time of year!
  • A circle punch. I used a 1 inch punch this time around, but would love to try out the 2 inch.

Use the hole punch to cut out the circles. You can cut as many as you like, my sister and I cut all three sheets and were able to complete two canvases with them.
Use your spray adhesive to spray on the back of the circles. I would do a dozen or so at a time to speed up the process use a newspaper or other material to lay the cut outs on while spraying, you don't want to get this glue anywhere that it doesn't belong!)
Now is the fun part, placing the circles on the canvas! I bunched lot towards the bottom of the canvas and made the space between circles more sparse as they move to the top of the canvas.
Once you are done, it is all ready to be hung up! Have fun! xo
